About Restore

Welcome to Restore Hong Kong. Restore is a community of carers who want to care better. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our website located at Restorehk.org and your participation in any mental health awareness gathering, event, workshop or support sessions organised by us. 

By using the website or registering for a gathering, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website, resources or attend our gatherings. 
 

Our services may include:

• Workshops, conferences or group spaces

• Networking

• Consultation

• Counselling support

• Resource sharing
   

Some services are peer-based, while others are provided by trained professionals.
 

By engaging with Restore's services, you agree to the terms outlined below

Nature of Services

Restore is not a crisis or medical service. Our Website and Gatherings are for educational and awareness purposes only. They do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or crisis intervention. 
 

• If you are in a life-threatening situation or experiencing a mental health emergency, call your local emergency number (HK - 999) or go to the nearest emergency room. 

• In Hong Kong, you may also call  18 111 (suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or  +852 2896 0000 (The Samaritans 24-hour hotline for unconditional emotional support or risk of suicide) for immediate support. 
   

Gathering Participation and Code of Conduct

To foster a safe, respectful and supportive environment: 
 

• Confidentiality
  You agree not to record (audio/video), screenshot, or share identifying information about other participants outside the Gathering without their explicit consent. 
   

• Respectful behaviour
  Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, impersonate or intentionally distress others.
   

• No promotional content
  Do not promote commercial products, services or personal causes unless explicitly authorised by the Restore Planning Team. 
   

• No medical advice
  Do not give medical or psychiatric advice to other participants unless you are a qualified physician with permission from the Restore Planning Team. 
  
   

Website Content and Resource Portal 

Our website may include articles, videos, worksheets, peer testimonies and links to third-party resources. Such content is:

• Provided 'as is' for general informational purposes

• Not a substitute for professional care.

• Subject to change without notice. 
   

We do not endorse or verify the accuracy of any third-party website linked from our portal. Access them at your own risk. 

 

User Accounts and Submissions

If you create an account or submit content (e.g. forum posts, testimonies, reviews): 

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

• You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, modify or remove your submissions as needed to operate the Restore HK Website and Gatherings. 

• Do not share personally identifiable medical information (e.g., specific diagnosis, medications) if you are uncomfortable with it being visible to other users. 
   

Restore reserves the right to remove individuals from services or spaces where the safety of others may be affected.

 

Privacy and Data Collection

Our collection and use of personal information (e.g. name, email, attendance data) is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to such processing. We do not sell your personal data.

Information shared at Restore gatherings, consultations, or support spaces will be treated with care and confidentiality.

However, confidentiality may be limited if:

• there is risk of harm to yourself or others

• there are legal or safeguarding obligations.
   

Fees, Cancellations and Refunds

Free Gatherings: No fee, but registration my be required. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule free Gatherings without liability. 
Paid gatherings: Fees are stated at registration. Cancellations made at least seven days before the event receive a full refund. Cancellations within seven days or 'no show' will receive no refund except in cases of documented emergency. If we cancel a paid Gathering, you will receive a full refund.
Rescheduling: In the event of rescheduling (e.g., Typhoon 8), you will be notified via email and/or WhatsApp.
